Stock Island, Key West hotel rooms at the Best Western

"Rooms are great. Whoever designed them has a clue. Gave off a good vibe. Not like your average hotel. Cool painted back drop and good photographic art on the wall. It really makes a difference. Nice big modern TV. Binge watched paranormal shows the whole of the first day, it was that good. Pool is quite shallow but it's ok if you don't want to swim around in it. Free shuttle to the old town. There are annoyingly loud roosters all over Key West but if you enjoy a C**k a Doodle Doo at 4, 5, 6, or 7 am, and the rest of the day, you'll love it. It's a cool place to stay."

"Giant property. Beautiful. Room and grounds well kept. Oddly, the staff was consistently vague with directions or answering questions. Laungage barriers or simple laziness? A mix of both. However, I would recommend this beautiful and expansive property."

"The hidden resort fees were absolutely ridiculous! $40 a day, plus $5 a day plus $150 coverage without any explanation. This property is located directly next to the airport and they do not provide a shuttle service to pick you up. We used Uber for everything, another extra expense. ( The Hampton Inn next door had a shuttle that went everywhere)"

"The breakfast was ok. I would have liked to see more of a variety. We had a pretty major issue in our room. It was promptly taken care of, but we were moved to another room because it was taking longer than originally thought. Great staff!!!! The restaurant was beyond bad. We were sat at a table and forgotten about for 30 minutes. After we found someone to take our order, we waited yet again for a long time before our food was brought. Rude service and eyerolls when we asked for silverware. The manager came over to apologize about the service stating she wasn’t aware why we were sat in a section with no server; we can ignore the fact that it was she who sat us. No offer to discount, just a half hearted “oh sorry”…. Thought we should give them another try, as everyone has bad days. Walked in and asked if we could order food at the bar, the rude waitress said “I don’t know, you have to ask them”. I walked out. Hire better servers and you’ll do a lot better. "

"Very late checkin and elevator not working..."

"Was nice coffee and breakfast my issue was I booked two different reservations and asked if I could keep the same bed. The lady got rude and ask if I was fit to stay there. Long haired Spanish girl at front desk. Then it was the female dorm a intimidating lookng mam came in. When I was sleeping twice I guess to clean. Then two lady's came in. Lessen learned don't book on Expedia then nyah site. Expedia sold out. They place was nice just no sleeping in. I'd get the privet room next time If you don't want 4 different cleaning people in your room Waking u up when you need rest. Great place to meet people and the hot tub pools and breakfast nice also pretty clean place"
