"We stayed here on night 2 of our Ring Road tour and it was a good base after doing the Golden Circle sights. The hotel staff were friendly. The room we had was clean and spacious. There was a selection of teas and coffee sachets. The bathroom was big and the shower was good. The room was accessed through an external door, and there was a little sitting area outside. There is a small area at the back of the hotel with an electric sauna and a hot tub, which was very pleasant after a day’s sightseeing. Breakfast was buffet style and had a selection of Icelandic goods to try, such as barley porridge, skyr, happy marriage cake, cinnamon biscuits, Kleina (doughnuts), as well as the more usual fare. We ate in Hella about 15 mins drive away, though after seeing the breakfast, I wish we had eaten here."
