I loved my stay at the lodge. The staff were all lovely and very friendly which made the stay even more special. The room (Loerie) was quiet, clean and comfortable and the electronic blankets were a great addition. The grounds were absolutely beautiful with great views of mountains and immaculate. gardens. The breakfast was plentiful, fresh and very tasty. I also appreciated the freshly cooked hot options of eggs, bacon etc. The location is also great within the village which allowed us to walk to diner each night and it was a quick drive to the Big Tree and also the National Park. I would highly recommend.

A few bugs to work out.
We stayed at The Village Lodge during a work/family trip. The staff were friendly and helpful and the property was well maintained on the outside. Inside the room, the finishes looked a bit tired/old, but overall in okay condition. The room seems to be in need of some upkeep. Our daughter slept in the bunk bed and woke up in the morning with bites all over her from what can only be bed bugs, as she was in a separate bed to us, and we were fine sleeping in the main bed. The staff did change the sheets for us the next day, but we didn't chance it to have her sleep in that bed again, so she slept in the main bed. Other than this buggy situation, the stay was not bad. Food options nearby are limited but with our busy schedules we ordered from the only place available, which was okay.

Our stay was very enjoyable. The staff was very friendly and helpful and room was very neat and clean with fresh folwers 😀. There are lots of great activities and walking trails in the area.

Easy check in, very helpful staff. Right in the middle of town with a brewery and 80s diner directly opposite. Breakfast was also lovely!

Prima verblijf voor de doorreis
Voor de doorreis is het een prima verblijf. Er is alleen geen airco in de kamer. Alles was wel schoon! Verder beschikken ze over een heerlijke overkapte ruimte waar je zelf je eten (bbq) kunt klaarmaken.

A little overpriced for what it is
This place is like a one horse town , the guesthouse is located in the center close to everything the rooms are clean and functionable this place to me felt like a backpackers with individual rooms there is a communal area which you can cook your own food and have beer and wine and comfortable sofia. But the down side is that it is outside the rooms so can be a bit noisy from other guests The staff are friendly and helpful and breakfast was reasonable. Personally i felt this was overpriced compared with other places I've stayed in south Africa

Lovely lodge in fantastic location
We loved our stay at the village lodge! The room was well proportioned and clean and had great views to the mountains. The breakfast was great and had a good selection of cereal, fruit and muffins as well as your choice for a cooked breakfast! It’s in a fantastic location in the middle of the village, so most stuff is just a quick stroll away! The staff were very friendly and helped us book some activities during our stay which we really appreciated, plus we got a full load of laundry done for R80 which was amazing!! I highly recommend staying here, you won’t be disappointed!

Nah am Tsitsikama Nationalpark gelegen und deshalb ausgesucht. Für 1 Nacht ganz ok. Ruhig gelegen ohne viel drumherum. Zimmer war sauber, Bad etwas rustikal. Frühstück war auch ok. Insgesamt ok, aber nichts besonderes.

Lovely room facing a pretty garden. The bed was extremely comfortable however the towels were a bit worn. The room could have been improved with a safe, a fridge and a few ammenities like hair conditioner. The staff are friendly and helpful. The lodge is positioned close to walking paths through the tsitsikamma forest.

Friendly B&B in a perfect location
Lovely friendly B&B. Great cooked breakfast! Safe area...you can walk to the nearby restaurants amd microbrewery at night with no issues. Really helpful and friendly staff who gave us great advice about what to see and do despite the weather playing up!

So friendly
Fabulous stay. Sophie was a fabulous host and Diesel the most lovely dog - (hope he enjoyed the bones). The lodge rooms are all round a covered courtyard with a fire and honesty bar so you can relax after your day with a drink or two and meet other travellers. There are lovely walks in the area and the suspension bridge at the mouth of Storms River is a must. It is amazing. Once again we found a host full of local knowledge and willing to spend the time helping us decide where to walk. We had a wonderful breakfast which we saw freshly cooked in the kitchen next to us. They have done a wonderful job with the lodges, very comfortable and we had a great sleep. Sorry it was only for one night.

Nice Stop - over.
Great stay, large room, very friendly (especially Diesel the dog!) and helpful with a hearty breakfast, highly recommended. Marilyn's 60's Diner is opposite and worth a visit, nice food in a retro atmosphere with a great jukebox.

Prima Lodge met genoeg voorzieningen.
Uitstekende logeerplek als je iets zoekt om het Tsitsikamma Forest te bezoeken. Grote gezamenlijke "buiten" lounge met kookgelegenheid en WiFi. Gezellige mensen en ook nog diverse restaurants op loopafstand, of "take away" pizza.

Good value for your money
We stayed at the village inn during a visit to Tsitsikamma park. Great location in a quaint little village. The room is older but very comfortable with excellent staff. I would definitely recommend this location.
