I loved that when we walked in the room was already warm with the aircon on and I was a bit unwell with a cold. What we didn't like was the booking said a free breakfast was included but no-one was about in the morning to ask so we didnt get breakfast.

A little out of main town but comfy, cozy and clean. So nice that we stayed and extra night. Very good value and so far, the nicest room we’ve had in Tassie to date!

Easy overnighter
Overnighter to take part in the river cruise. Easy setting but you do need a car to access the main part of town in the weather I experienced. Not an issue, just a heads up. Service was great. Communication was good and just easy.

Comfortable cosy motel
Nice little comfortable motel . Very helpful and friendly staff. We were able to catch a glimpse of the aurora just a short walk from the hotel. Definitely worth the money.

Great motel in quiet location of Strahan. Spacious rooms with standard motel amenities, however we did enjoy the Nespresso machine for early morning coffees. A nice, rustically presented breakfast was provided. Great friendly staff. When we asked to stay an extra night and they did not have a vacancy, however were very helpful to look for alternate places within Strahan for us.

A fabulous motel stay
The motel was wonderful. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. It was clean, comfortable and good value. We both enjoyed the spa bath. Thank you and congratulations to the owners and managers.

A charming stay in Strahan, walking distance to the Main Street & river cruises. Very sweet & well appointed - you can tell how much care the management puts into it. Lots of amenities in the room. Only con was very thin walls. Overall I’d recommend for a value for money stay in Strahan.

A gem in the wilderness
This was a real treasure, and after reading one or two less favourable reviews prior to our stay, we were a little apprehensive about what we might find, but many other extremely positive reviews encouraged us to have a go. It was more than worthwhile ! Our room was beautifully appointed, and more inclusions than we have found in much more ‘notable’ establishments. From the comfortable king-size bed to the spa bath, and on to the toiletries that were provided, the luxury towels, the very well-equipped and reasonably-priced mini bar, the coffee pod machine (as well as a percolator), etc, we had it all. Nigel’s welcome on arrival made us feel right at home, and the generous breakfast basket was the icing on the cake. Every little detail has been covered, and the generosity of this establishment leaves nothing to be desired. Motel Strahan represents amazing value, and we have put it on top of our ‘definitely stay again’ list.

Definitely not four star! Stuff lying around, reception a conglomerate of crap, gardens/lawns weedy, overgrown, dead and dying succulents in multitudes of scrappy pots. Dirty carpet, most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever slept in, large bathroom frosted window facing onto car park where you can see what the shadows are doing inside, breakfast very ordinary, “king” bed was two old singles pushed together. I don’t usually write negative reviews but people have been saying on a variety of websites that this place is not four star for ten years!

Quiet location, short walk into town, continental breakfast was a bonus, king bed. Only feedback is that the carpet and lounge chair need to be replaced.

Property location was good and checkin was easy and the receptionist helped in even suggesting few things. Room was good size and so was the bathroom. Also continental breakfast was provided (although we didn’t eat it) The only and biggest turnoff was that the bed linen was not clean - which us most important for us.

Absolutely 5*** we have been traveling for 7 days, starting in Launceston and this is the best by a long mile. Excellent reception service, excellent room - very modern with a king bed, excellent bathroom with a good shower and bath. If you do the Gordon River cruise - book the locally owned one - World Heritage Cruises not the Gordon River Cruises that is owned by NRMA.

The room was clean & comfortable - the only real down side was the lack of facilities to wash dishes. It was just a two night stay as we were passing through, but otherwise very pleasant.
