Excellent jumping off point for Skye, reasonable pricing considering the hotel is only a short drive away from the bridge. Very peaceful Excellent owners. Good quality of food, cooked fresh to order.
We found the hotel staff to be very friendly and helpful. The room was ideal as a base for sight seeing. We ate our evening meals there while staying and they were excellent.
Our hosts Becka and Richard made us very welcome and looked after us well, despite the best efforts of Storm Amy.
Our room was very comfortable and the location is great for exploring the local area.
Pleasant small hotel adjacent to the Strathcarron Railway Station. Good friendly atmosphere in the bar, and a host who clearly cares that his guests have a good experience.
We loved our 3 day stay here. Richard and his staff were excellent, very engaging, helpful with ideas and information about the area. The food was excellent. Very central for getting around by train, but also has room for cars. Would totally recommend staying here.

While the property is a bit dated, the staff are friendly and helpful.
This was a very personable experience with the owners, Becca and Richard, and staff being very attentive having excellent restaurant management. The food was really good too. Definitely a place we would come back to!
We chose this hotel as a mid-point for our trip. Itβs in a great location. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Just a very charming place to stay and I highly recommend it!
If you're looking for a place to stay while passing through the area, Strathcarron Hotel is wonderful! The beds aren't the comfiest, and the rooms are a bit dated, but these folks will make you feel like you're part of the family! We stayed in several hotels around Scotland, but Strathcarron was the friendliest and most welcoming!
From the minute we walked in until the minute we left, we were treated like family. Richard and Becca are simply lovely people and really know how to look after their guests. We will stay there again for sure!!ππππ
Lovely staff, food was good evening meal and has free parking. Basic room but worked for what we needed on the day. Nothing fancy. Breakfast is not included and don't think you can get it either? Didn't notice anything close if you do want it?
Right next to a railway station which could be handy.. but never heard a train.
