"I made the reservation six months in advance, and after paying 90 euros just for transportation to get up there, the owner wasn’t answering the phone and the door was closed. With two kids, luggage, the hot summer weather, and this worst case scenario combined, it made us hate Lake Como itself. Absolute worst hotel do not ever go here."

"I really liked the location of the property. It’s very convenient, centrally located, and close to public transportation, which made getting around easy.
The only area that could use some improvement is the property’s condition. Some renovations or updates would enhance the overall appearance, and the hallway carpets could be cleaned or replaced, as they looked quite worn and dirty.
Other than that, I had a great stay and enjoyed my overall experience."
"A lovely stay. The hotel is clean, well placed for amenities with a nice Italian restaurant or supermarkets very close. We didn't go up to the spa rooms. Missed a laundry room and a smart TV but the free breakfast buffet was fab. The room decor was very modern trendy, but dark. Just missed a decent ceiling light!!"
"The view is outstanding and the area is beautiful. The walk into Grindelwald is 20 minutes but we were prepared for that. It was quiet but still very close to the train station. The staff were friendly. The rooms in Eiger Chic seem new or recently renovated but you do need to be careful the shower does not flood bathroom floor."
"We spent 3 nights in a really large nice apartment suite with a balcony. We were next to the pool but it was quiet with a nice view of the lake and Monte Bre.
The hotel overall is a bit tired and in need of fresh paint, but the grounds were very clean.
We loved the pool for a cool break from the heat and crowds of Lugano.
Its a trek to find restaurants, even with the bus stop. We found good dinners 12-15 minutes uphill or downhill and skipped dinner the last night.
The staff were very friendly and attentive."
