Such a cute and quaint place to stay, my daughter and I just needed an overnight but I wish that we were able to stay a little longer in this cute space. Very clean well decorated the only thing I wasn’t sure of was how to make a tea because I couldn’t find a kettle But otherwise everything was great. We also landed late and I had received a call while I was flying, and because they couldn’t reach me, they sent me a text on how to get in after hours, which was perfect. Super close to the train station and walking distance to a lot of our favourite things that we needed to do down in Sydney.

This place is a walk back in time so quant and quirky very clean tasteful decor nice and clean and peaceful and we had our own balcony which is a big plus for us definitely recommend for the price this place packs a punch worth every cent

This Boutique Hotel was absolutely charming. Value for money,beautifully decorated in keeping with the style of the hotl. Very comfy bed, great shower,lovely outlook to a small, inviting balcony/outside area. Cafes, pubs , shopping areas in walking distance. We need to return to Sydney next week & we will be making another booking.

Loved the old world charm, the sheets etc were immaculate but some facilities need an upgrade -noisy exhaust fan, mirrors aged and tarnished. Mould in bathroom paint. Overall was happy with the stay

Cozy and convenient.

Good location to the station, where you can easy to get to Sydney in 30 min. The room was old but well maintained, decorated and what is fascinating was that all windows were stained glass. You can use the common kitchen and laundry. Staffs are friendly and helpful, and if you find small issues they will kindly work for you quickly.

Its old and run down. Sheets were dirty and had to be changed. Our room looked nothing like the promotional photos. Tiny and cramped had to lug our cases down deep stairs no parking and out the front the onstreet parking is in a school zone staff very unfriendly and the place is for sale

The outside of property was beautiful, well looked after. The ceiling in the bathroom was peeling, the chair in the corner hadnt been moved for a long time as their was dust everywhere. There was no plug in the sink in the bathroom, was a bit inconvenient. Staff didnt speak at all, im not sure if they couldnt speak english, but was a bit weird. All in all it was ok, bed was not too bad, no noise to keep tou awake from traffic. Needs at bit of an upgrade

Unfortunately the room I was given was located under the garage, with a window that didnt lock, connected on one wall with an outdoor courtyard/kitchenette. The room itself was clean, but given every other room was inside the hotel, it felt like I was placed in the 'spare room' / cleaners quarters(?). Woken up at 5:30am with linen being delivered into the upstairs garage (ie the roof of the room. Avoid room G01, I'm sure the rest of the hotel rooms are lovely as per the other reviews online...

Disgusting Room, Arrogant Management – Never Again This was my first — and last — stay at this hotel. I arrived to find my room hadn’t been made up. This was inconvenient, but I called after hours and was moved. The new room was even worse. The toilet was filthy, unflushed, and disgusting. I took photos and immediately sent them to management. It was too late to leave, so I stayed the night. First thing the next morning, I met with management in person, expecting a sincere apology and proper compensation. Instead, I was met with arrogance and excuses. Their response? “That’s strange.” No ownership. No genuine concern. Just an insulting offer of a token “goodwill” gesture- a discount on future stays — as if I’d ever return. I asked for more than a token off to stay an extra three nights. They refused. This wasn’t a small mistake but a health and hygiene failure. And even with photographic proof, they shrugged it off. Shakira Management doesn’t care about customer experience, cleanliness, or accountability. They’d rather lose business than admit fault or offer a meaningful resolution. Avoid this place entirely if you value basic hygiene, respect, or decent service. It’s not just substandard, it’s disgraceful.

We turned up and reception couldn't find our booking. Once I gave our booking reference number, she found it and someone had missed our booking. After quite a while, we were told she had a room we were being upgraded and took us right down the back, down lots of stairs to a very tired, musty, small apartment type room. It wasn't nice and we weren't happy. I think that room was for workers living there. I went to reception and said the room wasn't nice and asked was there something else. She showed me another room. It was lovely and the type of accommodation I saw in the photos. I said we would take it and then she tried to talk me out of it as apparently it was booked up the next night. Anyway we ended up in the lovely room for the 2 nights and were very happy. From what we could see, most of the accommodation has been done up very tastefully, hence all the good reviews. It's a few minutes walk to the station and 15 mins by train to the city. Our car was parked out the front the whole weekend but during the week, its 2hr park. We would stay again, as long as we confirmed the booking with them prior to our arrival.
