Not very good to stay this time
We had to until 5.30pm to check in due to the system down. No place for waiting for 4hours and lost 2k at the casino which wasnt necessary to spent... And still no room key we have to ask the reception to access my room each time. So inconvenience..

Bad service, charged twice by hotel, very noisy throughout the night as we were positioned near the lifts. Not great for business travellers.

Enjoyed all the activities available at the hotel, the buffet is great and it was within walking distance to what we needed to do.

Have stayed here a few times and it’s always good. We were given a room this time with a broken blind and they switched us rooms straight away with no hassle. The only thing I noticed was the standard of housekeeping. The rooms seem like they were rushed through with not enough towels, beds made sloppy and not restocking bathroom supplies adequately. Is saying that though we called for more towels and supplies and they were bought up with no hassle and very quick.

We had the best stay for our 10 year anniversary. Merry made check in a breeze and even gave us a very generous room upgrade which made the night even more special. Thank you Merry & the team at the Star for giving two very tired parents a night to remember!

The room was lovely but our inability to get a decent meal, something other than burgers or food court style food, in a highly rated hotel at 9.30pm was disappointing and necessitated us catching a taxi to Chinatown for a meal.

My grandson's wish to stay at a hotel "like Kevin in the Home Alone movie" was more than fulfilled with our stay. It was fantastic. In his words " The auto opening lid on the toilet, auto flushing, big pool, big tv, big bed, yummy brekky & friendly people(staff) were much better than the movie. Myself, it was the best stay I have ever experienced & Beautiful Memories with my grandson I will always remember. We would both really recommend "The Star".
