  • Last night we went to a Taoist Temple in Taipei. You can see in the close up picture of people praying how they receive and answer immediately from the prayers. After kneeling and bowing, you throw two "stones" onto the floor. They are both crescent shaped with a sun and a moon side. If they end up both on one side, the answer is NO. If they end up both on the other side, the answer is maybe, or not enough information. If the end up like a ying and a yang, then the answer is YES. Staffs are very helpful. Safe location and next to Family Mart so it is very easy to withdraw cash, grasp a drink. Hotel offers a very relaxing environment. Quick breakfast on the rooftop is a plus with beautiful Taiwan view from above. It is so peaceful.

It works if you need a simple place to stay for one night. The room was clean but beginning to show its age. Same goes for the rest of the hotel. More attentive maintenance in terms of paying attention to details will go far. It’s not close to any restaurants but there is a well stocked Family Mart 50 meters away. Staff was very friendly. It has potential. The owners just need to pay more attention to detail. I’d stay again if ever in need of an overnight for a transit.

The hotel is fairly well located in a relatively central area, though reaching the MRT station requires taking a bus, and walking would take around 30 minutes. The room is small but reasonably well equipped with basic amenities. The staff are polite and helpful, and the price is affordable. However, the room feels outdated and quite narrow. The bathroom facilities are very basic, with a low shower ceiling that may feel uncomfortable for taller guests. The shower curtain does not work well with the bathtub, causing water to spill across the bathroom floor. There is essentially no proper wet-and-dry separation, which was a significant drawback for me. Overall, considering the price and room amenities, this hotel can be a cost-effective option for young or budget-conscious travelers. However, if comfort and a more relaxing stay are important to you and your budget allows, you may want to consider a higher-end hotel instead.

The Hub Hotel met all of our expectations. The room was very spacious and the bed was nice and comfy. I just wish they had a full breakfast menu. Outside of that, our stay was great.
