사진에 본것과는 다른방이어서 좀 실망했지만 주인분은 친절했다. 온천은 그저그랬고 샤워하고 탕에들어갔는데 일본 관광객 할머니가 샤워하고 들어오라고 해서 불쾌했다. 커피서비스가 있었다면 좋겠다는 생각을 했다.

정말 친절한 직원들 료칸 시설도 꽤 깔끔하고 괜찮았습니다 체크인 할때 주는 웰컴 티 와 체크아웃 할때 주는 조그만 기프트도 정성이 들어있어서 좋았습니다 다카야마 역까지도 가까워서 좋습니다 단 편의점이 근처에 없어서 다카야마 역앞 편의점까지 걸어가야합니다

It was a really nice experience of sleeping in a traditional Japanese guesthouse. The hosts and staff were very welcoming and supportive. The location is really good, you can walk to many interesting places in Takayama by foot. We can highly recommend the Japanese Kaiseki Dinner to round up the experience.

Lovely looking traditional Ryokan with an indoor Onsen. Was a very pleasant stay in an authentic Japanese Ryokan. Would recommend.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The building and facilities have a great sense of genuine traditional style with just enough modern amenities. The room was clean and spacious and the service was excellent. I highly recommend the traditional Japanese breakfast.

It was a very nice inn. There was a large selection of Yucatán (kimonos) and we were able to take some great pictures, making our trip a memorable one and for that we thank you.　The food was also very delicious. It was the first day of the New Year and there seemed to be many guests, but it was very quiet. I enjoyed talking with the staff and learning about Takayama, which made me like Takayama even more.

By far one of the best Ryokan in the region! Staff spoken English well and not many tooms so feels very exclusive and the meals were excellent. Staff very warm and friendly. We will come back to this Ryokan again.

Très belle expérience au Ryokan Asunaro. Le petit déjeuner traditionnel japonais était delicieux. Le personnel vraiment très disponible et aidant. Ils m'ont très bien conseillé pour l'achat d'un Yukata. Il neigeait le jour de mon arrivée et ils m'ont aussi prêté un parapluie. Service irréprochable.

The staff were very friendly and the property was interesting. However, the latest time for breakfast was 8 am which we thought was rather early. We booked a Japanese (futon) bedroom but it was quite hard for our liking.

L'accueil des propriétaires, en famille, est chaleureux. Notre chambre, bien typique, le dîner et les petits déjeuners sont soignés. Vous pouvez y aller sans hésiter, c'est à 2 pas de la gare et des lieux à visiter.

Amé el Ryokan Asunaro!!! Es un hotel tradicional japonés hermoso!!! Está super bien decorado, tiene un jardín zen y un onzen que puedes disfrutar. Además de la atención y todos los cuidados por parte del personal, tanto a nuestra llegada y durante toda la estancia. Pregunté por los horarios para ir a ShirakawaGo y el chico me brindó flyer con toda la información tanto de la ida como del regreso. En el hospedaje del Ryokan seleccionamos un desayuno tradicional japonés y estuvo delicioso, además de que incluía carne de Hida de la región. También esta súper bien ubicado y Takayama es hermosa!! Me encantó el Ryokan Asunaro, espero volver muy pronto!! Muchas gracias Asunaro, amamos nuestra estancia en Takayama!!

Great Location and Service
After spending a week in tokyo and nagoya takayama is a very nice break from the city. This rayokan is just 8min walk from takayama station and within minutes walk to the morning market and quaint old town. They maybe a traditional rayokan but their service is top notch and highly recommend to have their breakfast and dinner. In house onsen also available. Highly recommended.

This Ryokan attempts to be traditional, but unfortunately we found it to be too westernized with signs everywhere explaining how it works, and mostly what not to do. It felt anything but authentic. The onsen is available only during set hours and the Japanese breakfast didn't taste as nearly good as other Ryokans we have stayed. Our room was above the lobby/office and the noise woke us up at 5:00am and kept us up until 11:00 pm. Do not plan to stay out late, as there is an 11:00 curfew when the staff leaves and they lock the doors.

Great hotel. We tried the dinner and while it is not cheap, it is totally worth it. We had great food over 2 weeks but that dinner was probably the best meal we had. They also let you use yukatas in the hotel and the facilities and rooms are very nice.

This place was a real find, and a highlight of our trip to Japan. A real Ryokan with all the trimmings. A 20 minute walk from the station, but very well located for walks to all parts of Takayama. The room was large with a great deal of storage. Very Japanese (you sleep on the floor). The lobby area was fascinating. It also had onsens, which were very good. As an aside, this area has Hida beef, this is available in very good restaurants round about - a culinary highpoint

Last stay of our tour - to be fair property was a little disappointing situated next to a coach park on the edge of the middle of town. Service was a bit brusque. No smile or warm welcome on arrival but a request for passports and further 8000 JPY for spa. Then a list of rules and told of 11pm curfew. Room was traditional and clean, mats were comfortable. Very convenient location from old town but compared to the other places we stayed a little underwhelmed . Nothing wrong with it though but expensive for what you got . On departure Owner messed with the booking for taxis to the station so he took us the 1.5 km himself and refused payment which was a nice touch and redeemed our check in experience .

Thank you very much for staying with us. We apologize if our service did not meet your expectations. However it seems that there was a misunderstanding. Please let us explain. First, we NEVER charged 8000 JPY for SPA tax. The SPA tax was 150 yen per night x 4 people x 2 nights 1200 JPY. Could you please check your recipet again ? If SPA tax doesn't say 1200 JPY, we will refund the difference. Second, Taxi company messed up the reservation. When we called them, we did request you need 2 taxies. However they prepared only 1 taxi due to their mistake. Therefore we offered you free ride to Takayama station. Third, Ryokan Asunaro is located in the center of Takayama where is crowded with many other hotels and houses. Thus we cannot do anything about coach park. Finally, we hope we could resolve above misunderstanding. Thank you very much.
