The room was pretty big compared to the average Japanese hotel, but the room chair for the desk was a simple stool. If you are someone who likes to go shopping at a grocery store for food, the nearest one was about 15-20 minute walk away. Not much was happening around this area, it didn't seem to offer much in tourist attractions, besides a few statues. "My wife and I had a very pleasant two-night stay at Hotel Tateyama. We stayed one night before our Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route trip and another night after returning, and both stays were excellent.

"Okay,The guest room has a retro atmosphere reminiscent of the Showa era, featuring a large communal bath. While the amenities may not be luxurious, the cost performance is outstanding. The dinner and breakfast offer a delightful kaiseki meal with ingredients from the sea and mountains, along with a buffet style that includes both Western and Japanese dishes, ensuring high satisfaction. There’s also a free shuttle bus from the hotel to the nearest station. I highly 100% recommend it!"
