The problem with this hotel are the rooms. They are clean, but our double was quite small, and the bathroom, again clean, was small, and a strange shape that included a bath and toilet on a raised step. The breakfast was excellent. Overall this hotel represents very poor value..

This hotel is full of character, but the fittings, bathroom, bed are all thoroughly modern, crisp and clean. Breakfast was great, the staff weekday and weekend were very helpful. Dinner was good - the menu extensive enough to provide options for each evening they were there. Ability to park safely onsite is always welcome. The locatio is superb. I'd say top of the grade for a 3-star property.

The staff are welcoming and helpful. The building has a comfortable old-world feel. Meals are well cooked, and delicious. We had trouble with a leaking basin in one room but it got sorted within the evening. It still felt a little of the same as when I went here over 65 years ago !
