“As usual my stay was perfect. Live the little touches in the room. Fruit & sherry. Fresh milk in the fridge is always a plus for me as I hate the little pots of stuff Only downside was the 35 minute wait for my poached eggs at breakfast Great stay ”

“Amazing Hotel, wonderful service. Amazing food when I separately booked Chaloner’s restaurant. Breakfast was excellent. No complaints. Maybe I’s stay in the wing next time as it’s so close. But it was wonderful to have all that extra space in a room in the old hall. Would 100% come again. ”

“The hotel was super clean and spacious. The surrounding area was also very nice enough to walk around. Price was reasonable. It would be better if complementary water is provided.”

“Great stay at the Dun Cow Inn. Just what we needed after our wedding at Hardwick Hall hotel. About 15 min walk from there. Beds were comfy, shower was nice and big and the full English was freshly made and nice and hot. Good amount of parking and all at a decent price. Staff were courteous and friendly. So yep excellent and would stay again if in the area. ”

“I give a 3 star rating in the facility area as the beds and pillows fealt like I was sleeping on building site materials. The bed was solid like what I’d imagine sleeping on a concrete block would be like and the pillows were like sand bags. So uncomfortable I hardly slept but that aside I couldn’t fault the place otherwise”

“Lovely quirky place with a very friendly, helpful manager. Our room was OK, rather basic but overall nice and clean. There are no breakfast facilities so it means a drive into Yarm - tho it's a really lovely town. The pub is very close by and does do evening meals. ”
