Ardgort Country House

"Stayed here with my son during a Northern Ireland road trip and had a great stay! John was brilliant from start to finish. We'd arrived soaked after a day in the weather and he'd already put the heating on so we could get warm and dry out. Straight away he made us feel welcome, shook our hands and spent time chatting to my son about football. Nothing was too much trouble, a true host... Later that evening we'd grabbed some fish & chips and asked if there was somewhere we could sit and eat them rather than the room. John put the fire on in the bar area, told us to make ourselves comfortable and kept checking if there was anything else we wanted. To top it off, when we left he handed my son a box of Maltesers and said keep going with the football, which was an amazing touch, Lovely place, great host and somewhere we'd definitely stay again. Highly recommended!!"

"Our room was very clean, comfortable and quiet . The staff were so polite, helpful, friendly and professional. Can’t fault the breakfast there was a lovely selection which we enjoyed every morning. Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back at Christmas time x"

"Our room was lovely and just what we needed. The staff was helpful. The only drawback was that they were doing construction and the parking was not right at the hotel. We had to go around the back and up some stairs to park in an adjacent lot which wasn’t very convenient when it came to our luggage. Other than that, we truly enjoyed our stay and hope to come back another time. There are dining options inside the hotel that you need reservations for. We opted to walk across the parking lot and go to a pub nearby."

"I found the hotel to be well appointed, and its location worked perfectly for my visit. The large car park made parking simple and stress‑free. There was some traffic noise at night due to the busy road outside, but the double glazing and heavy curtains did a good job of keeping it to a low level. The staff were genuinely friendly and extremely helpful, and both the evening meal and breakfast were excellent."

"Phoenix B&B is a lovely little place to stay in Derry! The rooms are decently sized and cutely decorated. We loved how homey it felt. The owners kept us informed and answered any questions we had promptly via message which was much appreciated! Shower was hot and there was even a kitchen downstairs, which is quite convenient"
