"The rooms in this hotel are incredibly small. We reserved a multi-room suite that was supposed to be a larger room but it was very inconveniently laid out and tiny - it was totally uncomfortable for 3 guests. Overall really disappointing and not good value at all.
The hotel also has terrible ventilation. The guest rooms and common areas smelled very stale and were stuffy.
Would never stay there again! "
"The duty manager I found to be patronising and condescending, was not problem solving focused and just kept saying the hotel was busy. I have taken this up with hotels.com as I am demanding a full refund, the sole reason I booked this hotel was the option of baby cot services they claim to offer. My baby had no actual bed for the night and was required to sleep in our bed which is not safe nor advised to do as they are too small. Shameful actions by this hotel. This was not the first time staying here, but we have noticed standards have dropped every time we stayed. Our bathtub was broken too so was unable to bath my bath my child, nor was I able to shower during my stay, shrapnel and bits of sharp metal were in the bath which I brought to managements attention. If we had not noticed this and my 15 month old baby had cut himself I would have sued the hotel! Felt very disappointed and that the hotel did not support us during the whole ordeal. "
"I’ve stayed at this hotel before and had a great experience, which is why I returned. However, this stay was extremely disappointing and not reflective of a five-star standard.
We booked a Montcalm King room, but the first room felt like a basic double, so we requested a change. The second room was slightly larger but very dated and worn, which was not what we paid for.
Several advertised features didn’t work. The music/speaker system was non-functional, the TV wasn’t working properly, and I couldn’t connect my Fire TV. This left us with very limited entertainment, resulting in a disappointing and uneventful evening.
Given the price point, this was unacceptable. It felt like we were placed in an older, unrefurbished part of the hotel that does not match the standard being advertised.
While the staff were polite and professional, the overall experience fell far below expectations and unfortunately impacted what was meant to be a special occasion , my partner’s birthday.
I was asked about my stay at checkout but was too disappointed to address it properly at the time. I would appreciate this being reviewed, as the experience did not reflect the price paid or the hotel’s usual standard."
"It was a nice stay, the room with the kitchenette was spacious but the kitchenette was empty, no bowls, small plates, utensils. It wasn't a kitchenette, just a fridge."
