Had an absolutely wonderful stay at Boscolo Excedra. The staff was supremely courteous and attentive - thanks to Angel from guest services for making me feel right at home! At 7 pm each day, housekeeping checks on you if you're in your room to make sure all is in order and gives complementary chocolate - really nice touch! It's located a 10 minute walk from all of the major points of interest in central Nice with tons of options for food and nightlife in the immediate vicinity. Don't let the construction for the new tram line in front of the hotel turn you off - this place really was a gem! I'll definitely be staying here again in the future - wonderful experience for my solo vacation!
