“We booked The Relais Cooden beach via Expedia particularly for its location and spa facilities. We had booked the "Cosy double room" because that was all that was left. On arrival we tried to book spa treatments but there were no available bookings during our three night stay. This was disappointing as there was no mention on the Expedia website that you needed to book in advance. Apparently, guests who booked directly with the hotel enjoyed free use of the spa whereas booking through Expedia...

“Third time staying here due to the positive previous experiences. The positive streak continued with a great room featuring a fantastic air-conditioning unit which kept me cool in the June heat. A wonderful workout ensued in their very well-equipped gym set up. This was followed by a powerful shower and I went to dine nearby. Had a great night's sleep before a well-cooked breakfast got my day started perfectly. Can't wait to come back.”

“Thankfully we only stayed for one night. The room (number 4) itself was a good size and being on the ground floor, was perfect for getting overnight bags and the dog in. The hot water tap was in need of repair, sometimes water came out of the tap other times it was a trickle. The basin was missing a plug for the basin. I did raise both issues with reception staff. I wasn't expecting maintenance staff to come running on a Saturday afternoon, needless to say the tap wasn't fixed when we arrived...

“Visited as we had a family funeral with the wake being held at the Bannatyne hotel. As a family we couldn’t recommend it more, we were given a room upgrade which was lovely. Breakfast was excellent with great choice for everyone. Would definitely stay again.”

“I didn't take any pets to the hotel. I was able to access the internet most of the time.”

“Lovely golf course and breakfast was great but slow. Room was very dated and the bed had a huge dip in the middle. Very outdated and an old TV so couldn't even put on Netflix and relax.”
