“I booked and paid on expedia, upon arrival the clerk tried to say i had not paid, then he tried to charge us more saying i had not paid the full price. I had to show him my records before he finally decided i had paid...it felt like a scam, he did apologize but it still felt like a deliberate act. Additionally while in the room, staff members would periodically enter the room and take pictures, i founf this to be disturbing. ”

“It was literally the best location ever. Not only was it the cheapest accommodation in the area, it was also walking distance to every attraction and tour centers. Every single one of the tours you book will most likely have pick up in Getsemani centro which is a 12 min walk away from the hostel. You are also 14 min walking distance away from the ocean (has rough waves at this sight so I would not recommend swimming in it).
