Tokaanu public hot pools just a short walk away, plus the Lodge has its own hot pools. Turangi a very short drive away with supermarket and plenty of restaurants. Conveniently placed to visit Tongariro National Park. The manager was very understanding when we cut short our stay due to poor weather and only charged us for the days we were there. The room was clean and well fitted out, if a little dated in style.

It was comfortable and clean, but the bathroom needs an upgrade. The hotpools were very disappointing, they are dark and dreary and definitely need to be upgraded.

We like the quietness of this place. The owner were very friendly we came in late at around 8pm ish.. very accomodative
Lots of things to do around Tokaanu a short drive to Tokaanu whalf for a walk with beautuful scenery. We enjoyed the swumming at the lake on a good spot of Tongariro.
We would definitely return ti Tokaanu😍

Perfect for families with children
Great location for exploring the rich resources this region has to offer- hot pools, skiing, hiking, fishing. Very family friendly with play equipment, on-site hot water and mineral pools and animals for young ones to enjoy. Very reasonably priced, clean, flexible accommodation options for families to enjoy.

The advantage of this property is its convenient location on a road trip between Wellington and Auckland, plus the easy availability of the hot pools, right outside the motel units. the children loved the trampoline. Plenty of room in the family unit which sleeps 7.

Location was great, and the hot pools were lovely. Easy close walk to see the natural hot springs. The room was basic, but all we needed. Warm and lots of space. Beds were all a bit tired though, so didn't have the greatest sleep.

Great location.
Stayed on our way home from Palmerston North. Room was spacious and comfortable. Stayed in room with wheel chair access which was ideal and next to pools and office.
Host was very friendly and helpful. Would stay there again.

Great location for the Crossing
This was a great place to stay for the Tongariro Crossing. The shuttle picked us up at the hotel. The owner, Cheryl, is very nice and wants guests to be comfortable. The accommodations are a little rustic, but the room was clean and comfortable.
