The property owners were so nice and helpful. They helped us get a cab to go to dinner because there is nothing close to the property. The property was sufficient for a one night pre-cruise stay. We booked three rooms, one of which was spacious and had a great water view. The other two were smaller and simple. It was definitely good value for the price and if you are just looking for a place to stay for the night.

Cactus guethouse Baie du Tombeau INSALU RE

Logement insalubre et propriétaire du logement trés grossier et ne veut rien entendre. Jai appelé le service client pour un relogement mais on m'a dit selon le propriétaire tout est nickel et que je faisais la difficile. Jai du repayé un autre logement car je ne pouvais pas resteret on a eu une petite altercation avec le proprio en présence téléphonique du service relogement. Je suis trés deçu du service hotel.com (membre silver) car on ne tient pas compte du client.

Déçus

Nous ne sommes pas restés. la chambre proposée était minuscule, une haute fenêtre qui ne permettait pas la vue sur l’extérieur ,triste pour des vacances, la clim ne devait fonctionner que la nuit , pas de possibilité de repas . Pas d’accès direct à la mer, franchement les photos étaient attrayantes sur le site et nous avons été très très déçus. Le monsieur bien gentil mais ça ne suffisait pas . Sommes restés 1/2 heure .

I never seen

The woman is OK. The man is out of order ! I traveled over 100 countries. I have done over 2.000 accommodations. I never hear ” I,m not your slave ” from the man because I said ”I,m ready for breakfast ”. On arrival he didn,t accept to stay in the reception to finish my beer bought from his bar. Over the night closed the aria with the refrigerator and I can,t drink my beer or water. In the morning they open the gate very late. they are not the bees for their guest house.

Kleines Guesthouse, sehr nette Betreiber, Zimmer schlicht aber saubeer; etwas abgelegen, 30 m vor dem Haus ist jedoch die Bushaltestelle - unkompliziert nach Port Louis zu fahren

Hotel relax et très accueillant

Hotel relax et très accueillant, par contre il n'y a rien à proximité. Se trouve à 10 minutes de Port Louis pour les personnes ayant une voiture ou prêtes à prendre le bus (ligne 77). Si vous n'êtes pas pressés pour vous retrouver au centre-ville c'est donc probablement le meilleur rapport qualité/prix dans ce secteur.

Chambre simple et très propre. Acceuil absolument charmant de la part de Jean-Luc et Sybille. Ne pas pas hésiter à questionner Jean-Luc à propos de son île, c'est une mine d'informations à lui seul ! Bref, séjour très agréable, notamment petits déjeuners sympas sur une terrasse avec vue sur la mer et ses pêcheurs !

Hôtel pas cher mais loin des restaurants et plage

Cet hôtel était proposé dans une offre vol et hôtel et n'était pas cher mais il convient aux personnes souhaitant bougées du matin car il n'y a rien à faire. Les restau et boutiques sont assez loin si on est à pied et la plage est difficilement accessible (pas de trottoir et les voitures roulent vite.....). Par contre demi pension quasi. Obligatoire vu le contexte....mais très bonne et copieuse cuisine.

What can I say this little hotel was fantastic the owners were very accommodating we had both breakfast and evening meal and these were fantastic the food was delicious I will be staying here again

Good value for money.

For two star accommodation Le Cactus was pleasant and owners and staff were nice. I think the photos on Expedia do exaggerate a bit. We didn't get a view of the Bay. In fact there were no windows in our room. But it was secluded and quiet. Also disappointing was no access to the water - there is no beach in this location, but the bay that is seen from a balcony on the back garden and outdoor dining area is crystal clear and can be okay for wading among the rocks. Bay Tombeau is not the choicest tourist destination of Mauritius, but we chose it because of its proximity to Port Louis. Overall though for the price it was good value and neat and clean with friendly people. And Oh! if you stay there, make sure you have Sybil, one of the owners, make you dinner - better than you get at the restaurants and very reasonable. She's a superb cook!

Great place and very affordable.

It is a very good choice if you travel on a budget; It is located 10 minutes north fromPort Louis and a Taxi would cost about 300 rupees ($10 usd) aprox on one way or just jump on the bus rigth in front of this beautifulll house right in front of the ocean. Very pleased with the family thar owns the place, very friendly and helpfull. Would recomend to rent the suite, rooms are not too spaceous but are good.
