Comfortable hotel right next to the border.

This was a lovely first stop in Chile. The hotel is right next to the border so was perfect after the long drive from El Calafate. We really liked the common areas and bar which were very comfortable, and enjoyed strolling around the small village. Cheaper than most places inside Torres del Paine, although about an hour from the park. However, a new paved road is currently being constructed which will make access much quicker.

Comfortable hotel for a stopover

Comfortable hotel just on the Chile side of the Torres del Paine border crossing - this was a great place to break the journey from TDP to El Chalten/ El Calafate. Probably a bit far out of the national park to base yourself for any longer (and involves some interesting roads to get to the park...think gravel tracks and potholes - although they do seem to be building more of a proper road alongside). Service was good, friendly staff who made us feel welcome. Dinner and breakfast were buffets which were sufficient but a bit overpriced - however there are no other options. Nice wine selection though. Hotel was clean, bed comfortable. And there’s a nice little sheep theme going on!

Ótima opção próximo a entrada do parque.

O hotel está próximo a entrada do parque, via portaria rio serrano, mais ou menos uns 30 mn. O hotel embora não seja barato custa muito menos que os hotéis dentro do parque e tem uma boa infraestrutura, incluindo bom café da manhã e restaurante com jantar todas as noites. É pitoresco, bem decorado e agradável, imitando um rancho texano por dentro. Os quartos e o banheiro são espaçosos e confortáveis.Se voltar a torres del paine voltarei a esse hotel com certeza.

Highly recommend Estancia el Ovejero

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Estancia el Ovejero. It is a new facility with a decor of a lovely ranch. The bedroom and private bathroom are very comfortable and tastefully decorated. The staff was warm and helpful. There is not much for a tourist to do in the area but it is a great place to pass through to Torres del Paine and Argentina
