"As a first-time guest at this hotel, I must say that I was quite impressed. Though I initially considered OMO5 Yokohama Bashamichi (formerly Oakwood Suites Yokohama), it was a bit out of my pricing budget for this solo trip. The hotel was located close to Yokohama Station, which was a huge advantage for me as I heavily rely on the rails in Japan for travel. The hotel staff were quite helpful in offering an early check-in from 12 noon and I quite liked the bakery in the hotel lobby for some tea while waiting for the early check-in time. Being located above The Yokohama Front, it was convenient as there were quite a number of restaurants available in the event that I did not feel like venturing out for dinner.
When it comes to the room, the amenities were quite sufficient for my standards and the bedding was quite comfortable. Having an all-in-one washer and dryer was also an advantage for me as I could wash my clothes daily upon returning from my railway day trips. Overall, this was a job well done, Sotetsu Hotels The Splaisir Yokohama. I do hope to come back again when I come to eastern Japan if possible."
