"A grand old building in an excellent location, close to the railway station and Malioboro Street. And with a swimming pool, perfect for hot afternoons. The rooms were adequate but good value for the price I was paying for. However I did find some dirt on my pillow but I brushed it off. Also Western travellers should be warned that the are traditional Indonesian style bathrooms in the rooms. At least in my room, so a squat toilet with no toilet paper, or flush, and a cold shower. It is super close from the station (3mn walking just across the road) but very very quiet also all night and day activities are close. It is an amazing charming hotel with a lot of wood and internal garden. Coffee or tea is free at any hour. I strongly recommend this play for a short of even a long stay. Excellent WiFi...
