"This place is quiet, fun, relaxing, tropical environment. Sits out of the way. Unlike the other hotels which aren't in the open and sometimes noisy. Most rooms have a kitchen and I don't mean a microwave. I mean kitchen. This place also has bbq's and patio setups. Staff is freaking friendly and bend over backwards to help. I love this place."

"This was an unexpected find on Catalina. The hotel is a short fairly easy walk to everything. The room is clean and spacious. The staff was attentive and welcoming.It was nice to have a kitchen and the view was pretty darn good too!"

"Clean room and property, love that we were able to walk in and out all day with immediate beach access and somewhere to leave our bags on the property. Not noisy, definitely safe and also a great price for the area and proximity. Loved my stay and will come again for my next visit to the island. Oh yea and score on the towels for the beach, didn’t need to bring anything they provide!"

"After boarding, you only need no more than 10 minutes walking to the hotel, and enjoy the comfortable AC condition and rest. Get access to check in early by asking if the room is ready. The room is not that big, but comfortable enough. We love the TV here, and watch Mickey Mouse during night time."

"Hotel Catalina Studio 9 was clean, comfortable, with a beautiful sitting area outside on the cozy covered porch! There was no air conditioning in my room, but the foyer was cooled and relaxing. We brought portable, personal fans, which really helped during the hot spell which occurred September 11 - 13, 2026. There was limited amenities; a small fridge and microwave was provided in the room and nice tv, but no coffee provided, but lovely body wash and 2 in 1 shampoo/conditioner was included in the room with a hair dryer. Since travel to the island required various times of ferry or helicopter service, the kind staff allowed the patrons to leave luggage in foyer, until departure! What a Blessing!!! As travel on foot and shuttle would have been difficult while toting bags. We were able to pick them back up, closer to departure time! The staff is available in person between hours of 9am - 6pm, with a phone number for emergencies after hours. Overall, 5 Star Rating!!! Will stay there, again!"
