Stayed here as it was close to train station. The efforts of the lady at reception was exceptional. Her English was brilliant but her help in organizing a driver to Black Market and to Train Station was very much appreciated. It must be her business as she cared so much that we had a good stay. Thank You.

The hotel is within a 10 min walking distance of the train station & within a 5 min walking distance to the main Peace Avenue road.... I booked a standard room, which turned out to be a spacious 1 bedroom. It had a separate living room..... the room was well furnished & the bed was super comfy. The bathroom had one of those massage shower cubicles, but none of the water jets were functioning. Even the hot water was a little iffy, coming out either boiling hot or cold. The washbasin was inaccessible because the shower cubicle was too close to it & could only be used from the side. The bathroom was the spoiler in an otherwise pleasant experience. Sarah, from the main desk, deserves special mention, as she was very helpful in giving me suggestions of places to visit & helping me find a local SIM for my hotspot device. She also organized a great day trip out for me to the Chinggiz Khan Statue Complex......

Good experience

The location is very close to the railway station, but I could walk most anywhere in Ub within 3km. Free breakfast at the hotel's table service restaurant. Very helpful receptionist who spoke Chinese and English. The only surprise was that the water was in the shower was a little dirty. Maybe this condition is normal in Mongolia, but could easily be fixed with a water filtration shower head.

Dated hotel

The receptionist was friendly spoke English quite well, but apart from that our experience at the hotel was poor. The carpet was worn, the fridge didn't work (which our receptionist was aware of prior to us telling her), the water in the shower didn't get beyond lukewarm, and overall the hotel felt poorly maintained. We booked this hotel because we thought we'd be able to walk to the train station in the morning, but the infrastructure between the hotel and the train station wasn't good, so we ended up just taking a car. We probably wouldn't stay here again.

Great stay! The hotel has an easy to arrange airport pickup which makes it super simple even when you’re arriving very late at night. The cost is 15usd and 100% worth it. We were also given a free upgrade when we arrived likely due to the fact that it was off season. An amazing extra! Breakfast in the morning was great. Sausage, eggs, salad, tea, coffee, yogurt, fruit, and toast with a number of spreads. Each breakfast is made fresh for each guest which was wonderful. The woman at the check in desk also spoke perfect English and was very kind and friendly.

Helpful English-speaking front desk staff. Hotel restaurant pricey. Lots of authentic Chinese restaurants one long block east on the road that leads north from train station. Good - reasonable fixed-price shopping at "Made in Mongolia" stores 100m east of train station - walking distance from hotel.

Brillant Hotel

This hotel is fantastic, the staff are amazing and couldn't do more for you. We had booked a trip to visit one of the national parks and because we were leaving before breakfast was served, the receptionist had ensured the chef (who cooked and amazing breakfast) had prepared us a take-away breakfast.

Passez votre chemin!!

Séjour assez catastrophique. Passé l’accueil très aimable du réceptionniste, les choses se gâtent rapidement. Nous découvrons des préservatifs usagés laissés au sol et à demi caché par le rideau! Néanmoins, le reste de la chambre (les draps et les services de toilette) est en apparence propre. Nous donnons du linge à laver à la blanchisserie mais ne récupérerons qu'une partie de notre linge, le reste ayant été perdu!!! et ce alors que nous sommes les seuls clients à avoir donné notre linge à laver!!! La réceptionniste, elle aussi très aimable, fait son possible pour retrouver notre linge mais il a disparu. Contacté par téléphone, le manager de l'hôtel, arrogant et peu compréhensif, prétend que notre linge serait dans notre chambre! Il ne se déplacera jamais à l'hôtel ni le soir même ni le lendemain matin. Nous repartirons sans notre linge perdu. L'hôtel est à proximité de la gare (700m) mais loin du centre de la ville (taxi obligatoire). Aucun commerce à proximité.

Great Staff, Not Perfect

I couldn’t have asked more from the staff, they did their absolute best to help me arrange plans and meet needs. The things I didn’t enjoy were out of their control. The hot water on top floors is having issues due to pump so it takes minimum 20 minutes to warm up, which is annoying but also incredibly wasteful. The location is a bit run down and not convenient to anything- except the train station, which is close by. The airport “shuttle” was a beat down generic van that smelled of smoke; I expect better from Best Western. Other than that, spacious rooms, clean, good housekeeping, etc. Ultimately recommend but know what you’re getting into, and remember that this is pretty good for Ulaanbaatar.

The best hotel experience!

The hotel itself deserves 10/10 score. It is very clean and serves generous breakfast. The wifi is very fast. The hotel staff are the best! They went the extra mile from the moment we were picked up at the airport until the time we were dropped off the train station. They helped us find a traditional costume rental shop, booked our taxis and spoke to the driver to take us where we wanted to go. I highly recommend this hotel for those who plan to visit Ulaanbaatar.

Good value close to the train station

Overall a nice experience. The staff was extremely friendly and helped with several things. The room was big and offered everything needed. Especially TV channel selection was huge. Only minor issue was that the shower took a long time to get the water warm. The breakfast was cooked to order, which was a pleasant surprise. The surroundings were OK, city center accessible either by foot or a quick taxi ride. I would stay here again.

Enjoyed the deluxe room

Once again hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed the deluxe room's space and large windows; as well as the shower and larger bathroom. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Friendly and helpful staff

The young man working the front desk was very friendly and extremely helpful. He was quick to order us a cab or give helpful advice. He made us feel very welcome on our first trip to Ulan Bator.
