“We spent a week at the Hotel Belvedere end Sept/ beg Oct 2009. On the whole we were satisfied with the hotel. “There were a few faults in our room that we pointed out on arrival, yet no one fixed them at all, draws that were stuck and would not open, fridge that did not close, squeeky wardrobe door that could have been solved with a few drops of oil....taps etc were filthy, pedal bin broken and I cut my foot on the sharp edge. There were 14 forest fires on the island during our visit, yet the hotel had no visible fire extinguishers, means of knowing who was in the rooms and no emergency plans. No safes...
