Amazing stay, Stuart was very friendly and helpful, the room was lovely, really liked the separate dressing room. The breakfast was wonderful and had lots of choice
We stayed for 4 nights at Cornerhouse with Stuart and Linda and found them to be extremely helpful and the property convenient, comfortable, clean and well organised, you could go down for a continental style breakfast or it could be delivered to your room. Parking spaces were fine also their recommendations were great for local pubs alternative breakfasts etc.

Liked: Cleanliness, amenities
We enjoyed this property and it’s old English charm. The room was comfortable and had great window views. It’s location is in a very attractive older area of Bonchurch.
Everything brilliant except shower. Lovely place and great value. Breakfast was a bit quirky however nice all the same. Missed breakfast on day 2 as we had not ordered night before as we were back late.
I chose Cornerways as it had excellent reviews, having stayed there a week I can fully concur. The proprietors, Stu & Lin couldn't have been nicer or anymore helpful.
The situation was great to, with views of the sea from our bedroom and also from the garden. There was a guest lounge and separate breakfast room where for a small extra you could have a continental breakfast, which was so good we had it each day.
What a lovely place can't wait for an opportunity to return.
Cornerways is a comfortable, welcoming and spotlessly clean place to stay. The continental breakfasts served in a picnic basket to your own room were generous and delicious. Chilled water and milk are freely available for making drinks and there is plenty of parking either on site or on the road outside. Stuart couldn't have been more helpful. Highly recommended
Our recent 2 night stay at Cornerways in Ventnor went very well indeed. Linda & Stuart made us feel very welcome and were relaxed and friendly. The accommodation is in walking distance to the seafront and town, so is very convenient. The room had a partial sea view and was spotless. Tea & coffee facilities and TV. The breakfast are optional but were excellent, healthy (muesli, nuts ,seeds and other choices too ) and eaten outside with a view of the sea.
It is a peaceful location and Ventnor itself is lush with flowers, trees and magnificent ocean views. We used this as a base to travel around the whole island.
I would recommend this B & B in a heart beat and hope to return ASAP. Thanks to you both Stuart & Linda for a wonderful stay.
Very relaxing stay. Great location with beautiful sea views from our bedroom.
We were made to feel very welcome and our host gave some excellent recommendations for places to eat locally. Would definitely return.
A comfortable two night stay whilst working away. The hosts were polite, attentive and welcoming. The room was clean and comfy with plenty of tea and coffee. The breakfast basket was a nice touch too. Only thing I would have liked is a little more water pressure from the shower but otherwise I can’t fault it. I would happily stay here again and will likely do so in the not too distant future.
Lovely place for a short break. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The location was a few minutes walk to the town/sea front and very peaceful. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend.
Had an unexpected upgrade which was lovely with views of both downs and sea. Really characteristic place to stay with a 10 minute walk into town and down to beach. Were here for a local wedding and would definitely recommend and stay again
Our 4 day stay at Cornerways was lovely. Our room was clean and looked recently decorated as did the ensuite bathroom. Bed very comfortable with crisp white bed linen. Breakfast basket was more than ample with plenty of choice for all including freshly ground coffee. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to family and friends.
I spent three nights at Cornerways and they kindly let me store my bicycle panniers inside the premises as I arrived before the check-in time. This meant I could explore Ventnor with my belongings secure.
The B&B was in a lovely quiet location. My room was huge; I had a sea view towards Monks Bay, a large comfortable bed, ensuite bathroom AND, unexpectedly an ensuite dressing room.
I was able to leave my bike safely in the front, private garden.
Whilst breakfast was not included in the room rate the b&b offered a breakfast basket with a choice of contents for £6 which I opted for on the first day. Mine included orange juice, flask of filtered coffee, cereal, a fresh fruit pot, nuts, a selection of small rustic rolls and a banana - very good value for money and I kept some items for snacks whilst cycling around the island during the day.
There was a small garden to the front of the property with table & chairs for guests to enjoy at any time and I had two al fresco breakfasts purchased from a supermarket and I was kindly offered a cup of coffee which was lovely.
COVID precautions extended to no room servicing for short stays, however, fresh towels were available, fresh cups and glasses with replenishment of tea/coffee etc. There was a fridge with a good supply of cold water and room for the odd bottle of wine!
A wonderful stay and wholly recommended
We had a wonderful stay at Cornerways - amazing location, and our bedroom overlooked the downs and sea! Really enjoyed the continental 'breakfast in a basket' delivered to our room as well.
