Wonderful getaway to Sooke Harbour Resort

My daughter, grandson and I had a wonderful getaway at the Resort. The unit was very comfortable and clean. We appreciated the close proximity to the water and were delighted to see seals on the dock.

It is a well kept resort with nice views. Our unit was a bit dusty and the balcony floors needed washing but otherwise it is well stocked and comfortable.

Location, quiet. Didn't like the smell of the laundry detergent on the bedding. Please consider using unscented detergent

You can catch crab off their dock and cook it on your balcony! Of course you need to bring your own trap and fishing license is mandatory. If you cant catch your own, there is a place right next door to buy fresh crab.

Ocean view

The ocean view was lovely. The children enjoyed the beach. It was nice to have a carport. The space felt somewhat cramped for 4 adults and 2 children. The pet friendly unit was not clean. There was dog hair on the couch, food dripped down the kitchen cabinets, left over food on the bbq grill, dust on the mantle and window sills. If the unit had been properly cleaned, this was a very nice unit.

The location was good. The stairs were not safe, it was dangerous as the steps were not properly finished.

Relax from the city

Friendly staff. Lots of space in the unit and very comfortable bed. Quiet location. Close to parks and areas to walk or hike. Beautiful place to relax from the city.

This a great place to stay in Sooke. The townhomes are very spacious, and there are 2 balconies in each unit overlooking the harbour. Very well appointed kitchen at a COVID-19 times when restaurants are less of an experience. Good shopping and walks close by. Excellent trails in the area. We'll be back.

Great Family Vacation

The condo is very well equipped for a family. The three bedrooms and three baths were all a great size and were a nice treat. The kitchen was very well equipped, lots of storage etc. The living area is a bit small but we spent most of our time exploring. The views are fantastic as is the proximity to the explore the Island. The management are very responsive and eager to help with any questions. This is a great place to stay!

We enjoyed our stay.. nice and close to the marina. The townhome wasn’t as clean as I would have liked(we wiped everything down upon arrival) and was a little dated as far as amenities go..some basic spices, oil or Pam etc in the kitchen would be nice .. if we wanted to cook we would have had to buy everything! Good location, easy to get to town.. and you can walk to the nearby Prestige for dinner.

You aren't permitted to check in any earlier than 4:00pm, but the front desk closes at 5:00pm. Doesn't leave very much time to discuss needs or issues with staff. My unit wasn't ready until 4:45pm so they were pretty much closing up by the time we got our unit. When we discovered that the blinds on the bedroom window wouldn't close at 6:30pm, we had to call their after hours line and they said that they couldn't help until the next day. I don't really understand how having such a short window to ask onsite staff for help with your room (in our case, 15 minutes) before they leave for the day can provide for a good experience.

The townhouse was modern and in great condition. All appliances and electronics were in good working condition. We had great water views and the surroundings were very quiet. The only drawback were the carpets that were full of spots and in bad condition (the reason I did not give it 5 stars).
