"Oddfellows is a quirky hotel in a beautiful setting. Gorgeous rooms with unique decor. Decent bar. They experienced temporary issue with heating/AC and lunch menu only at dinner time. Food was good and they made sure heaters were in rooms so they adapted well to their issues. "

"Internet almost didn’t reach the room. Staff were rude and appeared to have friends sat in the lobby, the first room I was given had visibly not been visited by house keeping as towels and old key card were out and the bed was a mess. When I got to the new room the chair was missing an arm and had wood protruding from where the arm would be attached and there was some kind of food smudged up the inside of the door. Terrible, nothing like the photos, as the room cleanliness was so poor I chose not to risk using the gym or pool."

"Stay was absolutely shocking. Raves in rooms next door till 2.30, then arguing till 4.30 and staff wouldn't remove them. Room was dirty, poorly lit and boasts about "bedside plugs" which won't exist. Was told my daughter could go swimming. But upon entry was declined as they required me to go in, although I couldn't for medical treatment. "

"Really disappointing experience at Embankment Kitchen. Despite booking a table in advance, we were left waiting far too long. When we arrived, several staff members were clearly present but nobody acknowledged us or even said, “we’ll be with you shortly.” We were simply left standing there wondering what was going on. Service throughout was extremely slow and disorganised. There appeared to be very little communication between staff, which showed in the lack of coordination and attention. When we tried to raise concerns, the response felt dismissive and at times argumentative, rather than solution focused. The overall attitude came across as not particularly bothered about the customer experience. To make matters worse, a teenager in our group was served what looked like a small children’s portion, which was frustrating given the prices being charged. Overall, poor service, long waits despite booking, lack of attention, and an unwelcoming atmosphere. Unfortunately, not somewhere we would return to."

"In my first room the sound-proofing window panes were loose and didn’t fit properly, and they rattled. Not possible to sleep. Changed rooms. In new room, panes also didn’t fit together, but didn’t rattle. My son in room next door had same problem. Bacon at breakfast was as dry as leather."
