The hotel is very conveniently positioned and about 10 or 15 minutes to the tram stop into Basel. The breakfast was absolutely first class - plenty of options and the rooms were great."

Towels - would not use them to mop the floor with them. No aircon of course. There was a fan but it wasn’t working. Can’t keep the windows open because of lorries running outside. The neighbour opposite our room was listening to some music on his phone but it was like...

You could walk up to France and Switzerland :).
Next to beautiful Rhein river and pretty park.
On the top of everything it is next to a shopping mall with a big supermarket in.

We did not have a good experience with some of the restaurant staff, one morning, completely empty restaurant we were ignored by a waitress as she cleared a table.

"After many hours on the road, we finally arrived at the "Carathotel Basel/Weil am Rhein" and we couldn’t have been more satisfied. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, and our room was absolutely perfect. We were given a huge, comfortable bed, and everything was clean and well-prepared.
