You do need to check into the actual hotel (which this is not, this is the villas), which is like 5-10 mins away by car, and I'll say this now that the hotel does have a restaurant. The taverna on the sea front just infront of the property has excellent traditional Greek food and there are many more to try in the center too. There is no washing machine and it would have been nice to have but it looks like this is common in Crete.
