Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
Left a message cancelling my room on the afternoon of my booking. I tried calling and they didn't answer the phone as they also didn't to Hotels.com. Had to book another hotel at very late notice which was more expensive.

I was really disappointed with my recent stay here and wouldn’t return. The hotel advertises having a restaurant, but there wasn’t one available. The lighting in the hallways near reception was extremely poor, which didn’t feel welcoming or safe.
There were leaks coming through the ceilings with no buckets underneath, meaning you had to walk through puddles just to reach your room. The whole building had a noticeable damp smell throughout.
When I first arrived, my room was freezing because the window had been left open, and it was only 3º outside at the time. The heating didn’t work properly for hours. I reported it to a member of staff who was lovely and tried her best to help, but the room only reached a slight warmth and was still uncomfortable to stay in.
In the morning I tried to raise these issues again, but the staff member on duty didn’t seem to care at all.
The only positive was that the room itself was clean and nicely presented, but unfortunately that wasn’t enough to make up for the problems I experienced.
I have sent a complaint via email but nothing has been returned as of yet.
