Todo estuvo muy bien, hotel muy limpio y de buenas atenciones. Lo que no me gusto es el alto costo del parking ya que al no haber estacionamiento te cargan 60 dolares por noche.
Had lunch upon arrival in dining room. Food was delicious. Bar very limited in the cocktails they can make. Restaurant was closed Saturday night so there was no live jazz band as mentioned in Expedia’s highlights.
Room and property is clean.
Emily in the front at checkin was particulary helpful to me.
It is an older, English-style hotel, so no microwaves or refrigerators,
although they speedily brought one to my room as soon as I asked.
The hotel has valet parking. When asked about self parking I was advised to pay attention to on street parking times, rules and requirements. I was not informed about private garage parking several blocks away at half the price.
I wished there was a refrigerator in the room. That is standard in many hotels regardless if it is historic or not. Also the toilet is too low, this should be replaced with a standard size toilet.
Exceptional Stay – A True Home Away From Home!
I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hensley Park Hotel in Washington D.C., and I cannot speak highly enough of the experience. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that this is a property that truly values its guests.
The accommodations were impeccable—clean, comfortable, and perfectly maintained—but the real highlight of my stay was the staff. Everyone I interacted with went above and beyond to ensure my visit was seamless. Whether it was providing local recommendations, handling special requests, or simply offering a warm greeting each time I walked through the doors, the team here is incredibly attentive and genuinely cares about the guest experience.
I had a few specific needs during my trip, and the staff handled every single one of them with professionalism, kindness, and lightning-fast efficiency. It is rare to find a hotel where the service is this proactive and thoughtful.
If you are planning a trip to D.C. and want a hotel that combines luxury with a truly personalized, high-touch service, I would highly recommend the Hensley Park. I will definitely be returning for my next trip!
Truly great hotel starting with the entryway: it is well-maintained and unique. I asked the staff about how old the building was and they actually knew about the history, from 1910s! The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean
If what you want is a historic property, you may love this. I am not the type of traveler that prefers small rooms, single pane windows and small staff. Truly, the hotel was lovely but the restrictions of such a property were a problem. I called to cancel but they would not let me. They said they would have it handled but the first day was far from OK. I asked for a medical refrigerator and it took almost 2 days to get one because of the limitation of stock. The people were polite. The maids were a problem for me one day but like I said, if you want historic, try this one. I’ll go to a Marriot next time which is aligned with my needs. (By the way, the gym was tiny but I was thrilled to have it!)
A hidden gem. So cute and cozy, great staff and a wonderful place that is not a corporate hotel. This place is a boutique and has a great feeling of history.
Highly recommend
The crew is kind , welcoming and professional
Will be back
Accidentally booked thinking I could stay the same night. according to their policies refunds are not available even tho it was an honest mistake. feel like the customer service could be improved.

Location is great to visit National Mall, the downside was a blocked toilet which plagued us for the entire weekend
