What a fantastic place to stay! Stacy, our hostess, got up early every morning and baked delicious muffins for us. She helped us with our laundry and even helped us wash the car! Can’t say enough good things about this place! We will definitely stay there again if we make it back to Waterton Lakes!

The property was a well restored historic property. The host was very pleasant and extremely helpful. The breakfast was very good. The surrounding area is beautiful.

Do not stay here if you have a lot of luggage or you are claustrophobic. , rooms are tiny. Common area is fine, breakfast is not really breakfast, excellent muffins. Staff is wonderful.

Nice place but badly run
While it is a nice location and the staff was trying very hard, they are very poorly trained with no experienced people on site to answer basic questions. The deposit was marked as paid on this app but never claimed by the hotel so unexpectedly had to pay again. No sinks in the bathroom and not very comfortable beds. Had an ok time but too many hassles to consider going back.

Jeanie & her staff of Northland Lodge go above and beyond for their guests. The rooms are very clean with soft comfy beds. The balcony off our room was wonderful for an afternoon rest & there is a bbq if you like to prepare a meal. We could walk to anywhere in town & even our 4 year old granddaughter could manage the walk. Morning muffins are sooo delicious

Great historic property. The baked hot muffins and coffee in the morning were a great added touch. Very affordable for the area. Great way to meet people.

Best stay in Waterton!
Fantastic location and very welcoming resident staff. Wonderful rooms with all the amenities you need with a very personal touch.

We had the smallest room but as a perk it comes with a private deck. Great for yoga in the morning and a cocktail in the evening. Very comfortable bed and the crisp linen with lavender scent was bliss. Delicious muffins served hot in the main area each morning( wished there were more) We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and Jeanne's historic chats about the property especially the one about finding the bear hibernating in the basement one spring;) Close to town and convenient free parking behind the lodge. Would stay again!

Disappointed w the property We booked this well in advance We arrived late and clearly got the last /worst room there was no consideration for the fact that we booked well in advance when all rooms were available This establishment has local history but has failed to keep up The room needed maintenance The manager was great For the same price book a room at the P of Whales This location is best suited for hikers

A wonderful heartwarming mountain lodge!
This was a lovely lodge in the heart of the mountains. The host, Stacy, was absolutely heartwarming and made amazing muffins in the morning! This entire stay felt like being surrounded by friends at the cottage. Each room has its own flare to it, ours being "cowboy" themed. Deapite the rooms being quite small, it was just the right amount of space for us and our luggage/gear.

We loved Northland Lodge
This was one of the most pleasant stays we have ever experienced, and that is coming from experienced world travelers. Waterton, and Northland Lodge particularly are special places. I could go on about the beauty of the lake and mountains. The best. But it was Jeanne, who manages everything, the people of this small town, and our fellow guests that made this so special to us. Warm muffins (really, really good muffins!) and hot coffee were waiting for us each morning along with the chance to enjoy them with friends we made. Jeanne and the locals had plenty of stories and advice, but she was just as interested in our stories. And whether it was sitting in the red Adirondack chairs enjoying a freshly made doughnut, or looking up at the stars from the upper deck, we could feel the cares of the world just melt away. The room we had was very comfortable, but not luxurious. The bed was good and the water was hot, and Jeanne was quick to respond to questions and little requests we made. In summary, this is not a party palace. But if you are looking for beauty, peace, fun, and want to make some new friends, you will find these at Northland Lodge.

This definitely is a gem of a property & place to stay. Very quiet area and an easy walk to all amenities in town. Very comfy room to stay in with comfy bed & pillows. Coffee/tea/ juice & muffins in the main room is a nice way to start the day. You'll also get info on certain trails and other ongoing in the area. Would definitely stay here again

Wonderful place
Wonderful host. She has the best muffins and ruined us fom all other muffins. Meeting people that will be lifetime friends who were also guests there. That was very special.

Northland Lodge is a very nice little property. We were in room 8 around back, small but comfortable. There is no TV if that's important to you. Guests have access to a common area in the main house where coffee and delicious muffins are served in the morning. Our host, Stacy, was very gracious and accommodating and provided us with anything not available in the room. You are minutes from Cameron Falls, and it's an easy walk into town. There are also numerous chairs available in the yard if you want to just sit in the shade and sip a cold beverage. Overall a very nice place from which to explore all Waterton has to offer and very good value.

Comfortable but…
The lodge was a little more dated than expected, everything was clean, bedding was fine, but breakfast was some muffins and coffee- not what we were expecting.

Thank you for your input. We are sorry we did not meet your expectations. Our coffee and muffins in the morning are designed for people to sit and sip - met other guests and enjoy the morning. It is not a full breakfast. Since we opened about 2 weeks earlier there is generally a lot of work to get everything up and running.

Property was close to everything . Ms Stacy was a wonderful host . Breakfast was wonderful . Nice place to relax next to one’s room as daylight times are long in the summer.

Great place to stay in Waternon
This quaint home was the perfect place for my friend and I to stay while in Waterton. The owner was super nice (and a great cook to boot -- her muffins were the BEST!). The view of the dark skies from the balcony were terrific and we were within blocks of downtown. I would love to stay here again if I travel back to Alberta.

What a lovely quaint place that is full of history! Who doesn’t want to stay in a home that’s nearly 100 years old. Great location, with a few hikes nearby and walking distance to town. Wonderful experience with Stacey. Excellent water pressure for shower, muffins were 5 star! Would stay again.

Service was excellent. Property is charming; location is good. Had we stayed in one of the rooms at the top I would have given a better rating, but since we unfortunately got the basement room (worst room in the hotel) our experience was not what we had hoped.

We are sorry you were not happy with your accommodations. We try very hard to accommodate the best we can, we are working with a 95 year old building. You requested 2 beds and we delivered 2 beds. We would like to point out that this room is newly painted, the beds are new, it is decorated very cute, its cozy and has 2 windows. it is the coolest room in the house during the hot summer days, and its is also the quietest room in the house. There are many people who request this room and love it. Claiming it is the "worst" room in the hotel is really not fair or accurate - considering you have not stayed in any of our other rooms or visited our hotel before. Might I suggest in the future you do a little more research into the hotels you book to learn about the room in which you will be staying.

This is a beautiful home that has been converted to basically comfortable units. It is a super location and the area around it are exceptional. They were short staffed given the pandemic and there was no time it seemed to provide ideas or suggestions or have any friendly conversation---but there is plenty of that in Waterton itself! Parking at back is a little tricky but very convenient.

Host was awesome. Gave us history of the area while serving incredible muffins and coffee in the am. Would love to come back here. Deer and Big Horn sheep everywhere on the property and in town. Walkable.

I really enjoyed my stay here! the staff were very welcoming and friendly, there was a very down to earth, rustic and cozy atmosphere in the lodge as well that made it very easy to relax and chat with the other guests. The rooms were also all unique in someway, and well kept.

Northland Lodge is a beautiful piece of history with so many amazing bonuses. Fresh coffee and muffins made by Stacey in the morning to get you ready for your adventures. Conveniently located to many hikes, viewpoints and to main street. Wildlife that comes right on the property. Many areas inside or outside on the property to have lunch, supper or a glass of wine. Stacey made us a delicious lasagna homemade meal followed with homemade pie for dessert. Our visit was such a surprise treat in the stunning views of Waterton Park.
