"Friendly reception staff. Booked a pet friendly room and was given a double room on the third floor. Nice sized room, plenty of space. Room was quite warm when we arrived but temperature controls worked well and we cooled it down quite quickly. All the usual amenities- tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryer, iron, ironing board, shampoo, body wash. Bed was fairly comfortable- pillows were awful - flat and lumpy. I did find extra pillows in the wardrobe the next day but only stayed one night so didn’t get chance to see if they were any better. Breakfast was included in the price. Good selection of hot and cold buffet style. Guests with dogs were requested to eat in the bar area which would be totally fine if there was more than one normal sized table, which, fortunately we managed to get. Otherwise we would have to sit at one of the tall bar tables on bar stools - not practical if eating and holding a dog on a lead. Also, the children’s play area is also in this bar area which can distract dogs if kids are playing. Location of the hotel is fantastic- great for shopping as it is situated in the Gunwharf Quays shopping quarter. I didn’t find it noisy at all. Parking is also fantastic- drive past the front entrance of the hotel and down into the underground car park beneath the shopping centre. Take parking ticket to reception and they will validate the ticket for when you leave. Parking is free for the first 24hrs and then £2 per day after. I would definitely stay here again."
