"This is a wonderful, historic inn. Check out the Red Lion Den for music. We heard a terrific local group. We ate in the Tavern and the food was tasty. This is not a luxurious place. It dates back to the 1700s. But it is really charming. My friends and I stayed in a suite in an out building. We had a low-ceiled living room downstairs, which was a. great place to talk and catch up. The bedroom situation was a little funky because the bathroom was right next to the bed in one of two sleeping areas upstairs and the door really squeaked when it opened and closed. But that was about our only complaint. I'd be delighted to return."

"After the 5 hour drive we walked in to the hotel and first it smelled wonderful and relaxing. Jim who took care of us was very pleasant and we were able to get into the room earlier. They also have alcohol behind the check-in, when the restaurant closes and not overly priced. The pool was nice but too cold for me, the hot tub was enjoyable and helped relax my back. The beds were very comfortable. The grounds were very nice and manicured. The Delaney house was also nicely ready for the fall with gourds all around. The restaurant was very good and was there with family and a party of 6. The entrees were large and very good.They also offered daily breakfast which was delicious from coffee to juices of all kinds and the hostess Janine was very helpful, pleasant and very accommodating. She even got us 2 take out bowls to fill them and she even saved us 2 PCs of marble cake. Everything tasted homemade. I would definitely stay here again !!!"

"This was my family's 3rd or 4th time staying at this hotel & we love it. We'll keep going back. Its located on Congress Street in downtown Springfield, perfectly located 12 minutes from The Big E State Fair (which is primarily why we go to Springfield) but its also extremely close to The Basketball Hall of Fame. LaQuinta is very clean & the rooms are a pretty good size. There's a great bar in the lobby & for the past 3 years Kim has been our bartender. Kim is the best & creates all of these special fall cocktails. If you're staying at this hotel, definitely go see Kim...I cant find anything bad to say about this hotel & best part is that its extremely affordable too"

"I was initially disappointed when I realized the property is a refurbished motel with room access via doors directly to the outside. However, the comfortable and welcoming lobby/bar/lounge area and pristine room with a comfy king size bed more than made up for it. The room also had complimentary, refillable water bottles with glasses (not plastic), and beautiful bathroom with full size shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and body lotion. And finally, there was a wardrobe with shelves to store clothes and shoes and a cushioned chair in the corner with a reading light. This was the most comfortable and well appointed hotel room I've been in. Staff at breakfast and at the bar after dinner were friendly and helpful. Highly recommend, though I prefer the rooms on the 2nd floor."
