“The views from my bedroom window were amazing. And the superior room I had was massive and very comfortable. Dinner was delicious with a pie to die for. A well kept terrace taking in those views across the Wye valley again.
Nice easy car park and lovely staff. Special mention must go to the lady at breakfast who was utterly perfect. She could not possibly have been more helpful - her service and attitude were brilliant.

“Super accommodation. The staff are ultra attentive and the food is first class. Beautiful part of the world to stay in but maybe a little remote for some. Only slight drawback was we were housed in the ground floor room of the boathouse and the noise of people walking around in the room above is very loud. If they got up in the night it wakes you up.”

The pods are great, all clean, the double bed is definitely cosy but their description of the pod on the website is accurate, it is basic but they never profess to be anything else. Barbecue in front of each pod is great, we cooked supper and breakfast on it, for all you carnivores, the butcher in Fownhope is fabulous. If you just need a base to chill out in, this is absolutely perfect.”

“This is a beautiful "upside down" house high on a hill with fantastic views. It is a mile or so from town & easily walkable if you don't mind the steep uphill on the return. The bedrooms are on the ground floor & are very well equipped & comfortable. The breakfast, prepared by the property owner, Bharat, was delicious & our stay overall was very good value.”
