This giant 13th-century sandstone abbey stands along the picturesque River Wye. After the Dissolution of the Monasteries in 1536 the lead roof was sold off and the Abbey lay neglected for 200 years. The Abbey was "rediscovered" in the 18th century and became a haven for artists and poets.

Great location directly across from Kensington Palace. Close to a bus stop and train station. Friendly staff. Very small room but exactly as it was advertised. Perfect for one person.
