"We have stayed at The Graduate in Cincinnati more than a dozen times. This stay we booked 2 rooms. The rooms themselves are great…comfortable beds and spacious living areas. However one room received room service the first day (making beds & straightening the bed), the other did not. We asked at the desk and they apologized and took down our room number. The 2nd night, the same thing happened, 1 room just towel service, the other, nothing. I don’t mind not having my bed made, but clean, dry towels are important when there isn’t a great place to let them hang to dry. Graduate, you can do better."

"We were booked for a three night stay. Upon arrival, the lady at the front desk was very sweet and helpful. Really appreciated that. After that, things went downhill. The hotel on the outside seems clean and relatively tidy. The lobby is quiet, clean, and bright. The halls and, more importantly, the rooms were a disaster. After pulling the bedsheets/mattress back, evidence of bed bug droppings/hair was blatant. There were black specs in and around the headboard and box springs. Hair and food and debris were all over the floor on and around the bed. Dried mucus was on the desk in the room. The bathroom smelled like marijuana. Instantly, we reported this to the front desk and showed her the video. She agreed with the cleanliness issue and placed us in another room on the sixth floor. After checking into that room, the bedsheets were in disarray and the bathroom was occupied. That secondary room smelled like rotting food. The assistant general manager and head of housekeeping met us in the original room and apologized and agreed to work with us on a complete refund. However, the hotel has since not been cooperative in refunding our stay and we’re currently out over $400. I’ve been a seasoned traveler for several years and this is by far the worst experience I’ve ever encountered. Avoid this hotel and brand at all costs."

"Arrived in the evening after a long drive to find just one staff member handling the whole property. Waited a long time to check in. Room was an "upgrade" in the sense that the two-queen suite I booked also came with a dishwasher besides a refrigerator and a microwave. The problem was the room, especially the bathroom, was designed for physically disabled persons. The shower was just a stall, no tub, and was awkward to use, and the door to the bathroom was a sliding door that was neither properly aligned nor had a lock. As for the environment, our floor was supposed to be smoke-free, but the smell of marijuana was present in the hall and in the elevator every day. Many staff members also smelled of marijuana. A neighboring guest was carousing with friends in his room at 2:30am on one night, and in the morning suffered the aftereffects very loudly. I could have alerted the front desk but had no confidence that one lone employee would take control of proceedings. The indoor pool was small and its water a little too cold to be relaxing. The breakfast featured a good variety of items. Vacationers with young children might struggle to take advantage of it, though, since it closes at 9:00am. In sum, the facility is fresh and new, the room was comfortable, the location is ideal, but it needs to enforce its policies."
