"The best hotel of our trip so far! Spotlessly clean room with modern furnishings - big enough for two of us with luggage to be comfortable. Super friendly and helpful staff that offered us a free early check-in at 1pm. Great location in new town (although be prepared for a bit of a hike if you're walking from the railway station). "The pictures all need to be updated as the pictures make the place look infinitely better than it really is. Really, they should just update the place so they match the pictures. It is extremely rundown although it is clean. Having a refrigerator/freezer, even a shared one, would have been a lifesaver. The toilets don't flush well at all. The water filter was nice. They provide shampoo and bodywash."

"Debbie was so warm and welcoming! Room is clean and contains all the needed amenities; perhaps add transparency cover to the upstairs bathroom in the family room. Nasi Lemak and food spread at breakfast were really good as well! Overall, thoroughly impressed and would patron this hotel again if u visit Ipoh!"

"The room itself was clean with good AC and internet. However!!! This states it only 8 mins walk from railway station which is also true but this means you are literally on the wrong side of the railway track. All the cafes/ historic sites are in the other side of the railways track and you have to walk long quite a dodgy road and a few homeless people who sleep right outside the hotel continuously. You can walk via the main road to the historic sites/ cafes via the main road but this actually takes you 25 mins not the 8 it advertises! I would not stay here again due to the location and it was questionable as a solo traveller walking around here in the evening. Please take my advice and stay in a different location as this was completely mis-sold!! "

"Room was clean but lacked plugins for the phone. Only one that was on the other end of the room. No kettle or Fridge. You can get a Thermos of hot water feom the front desk. The owner, his wife and his staff were very friendly and helpful. Nice restaurant at the end of the block. You need walk a few blocks to get to the 7/11. Daily night market was about 10 min walk. I liked the location as it was close to the Trai and bus terminal "
