The property was very well equipped, spotlessly clean and comfortable. The staff were helpful and friendly. The location was great, in easy walking distance of the station and other shops and facilities. I will definitely return.

The property was brand new, modern, beautiful, quiet, and well appointed. The room was huge and felt like a high-end apartment. Staff was friendly and helpful. I don’t think you could find a better location in York, with the property being convenient to the rail station and a short walk to everything one might want to see.

Place is very close to the train station and right inside one of the gates of the York city walls. My only complaint is that we booked the hotel choosing the “pay at hotel” option as we are travelling as a group of friends but one person was doing all the booking, but they charged us on the reservation credit card before we arrived, rendering that option completely meaningless to us.

Great location for going into town. Parking around the corner …no A/c as looked like it just opened. Overall very good place to stay when in York! One piece of advice fans for their guests.

The hotel has only been open for 3 weeks, which is probably 6 weeks too soon!! The room was not finished - locks missing on bathroom door (just a hole waiting for the lock); no curtains or blind in the lounge area - the hot sun blazed in throughout the day and neighbouring rooms could see in, and finally, no air conditioning - the control panels are there, but not connected to anything. I REPEAT ... NO AIR CONDITIONING. The day was very sunny and very hot and the room could not be cooled down properly, even with the fan that the receptionist provided. Indeed, it was so hot we had to sleep on top of the bed. This was simply not good enough. My guess is that the owners wanted to rush the opening to maximise on the peak summer season ... bad choice!! WE WILL NEVER RETURN.

Ich kann mir keine bessere Unterkunft für einen Städtetrip in York vorstellen!!! Das Hotel hat erst im Juni 2026 eröffnet. Alles war sehr sauber und die Zimmer mit Bad und Küche (sogar inkl. Ofen, Geschirrspüler, Waschmaschine) sind perfekt ausgestattet. Die Betten sind sehr bequem und die Zimmer nach hinten raus zudem auch sehr ruhig, trotz der zentralen Lage. Es gibt keine Klimaanlage (damit wird auf der Hotel Website auch nicht geworben), dennoch war mein Zimmer zum Innenhof angenehm kühl. Verdunkelungsjalousien sind vorhanden. Die Lage war als Ausgangspunkt perfekt: 10 Min zu Fuß zum Bahnhof, 5 Min zur Bushaltestelle für den Coastliner (Ausflug nach Leeds, Whitby) und anderen Verbindungen. Sowie 10-15 Min zum Minster bzw. in die Innenstadt. Der Service ist sehr zuvorkommend und das gesamte Personal sehr freundlich. Zudem gibt es eine 24h Rezeption. Die Kaution (100£) wurde mir bereits am Tag nach der Abreise zurück erstattet (ggfs. kann es bei anderen Banken auch länger dauern). Ich würde dieses Hotel sofort wieder buchen für den nächsten Besuch in York!
