The condition of the hotel is on par for the price. It seems they spent a lot of money on the lobby & exercise room, but as soon as you step into the hallway, you can see the deferred maintenance everywhere.
The elevator is actually a little scary. One evening the maintenance man had to reset the elevator because it got stuck on the 4th floor. Thank goodness I was on the ground floor & could walk to the front desk for assistance. Inside the elevator the floor lights never worked for floors 3 & 4. The maintenance person was not surprised by this.
Every day the room keys had to be reset because they quit working. I got into the habit of automatically going & getting my keys reset before heading back to my room.
I stayed for a week. From the moment I arrived the hot tub was broken; every day a staff member would say that they had just gotten the needed parts or parts were on the way & it would be fixed later that day/tomorrow. It was never repaired & the pool was dirty.
My room had a fridge & microwave but no safe. Traveling across the boarder to get dental work done, I would like to have had a safe to feel comfortable leaving valuables in my room.
In spite of the hotel condition & missing safe, the staff was amazing! Every request & need was taken care of by them with a fabulous attitude & kind, friendly service. On the day I left I had forgotten two items in my room. Twice the maintenance person brought both items to me in the parking lot. I've never had that happen b4.
