"Ticked all my boxes. Only query I had was the strong smell of tobacco on the first floor landing at the lift access/egress, which I reported and appeared to have been dealt with as it had vanished about an hour or so later. "

"On arrival at Waterside Hotel, found the car park was mostly filled with work vans, so wondered if it was the right choice for a couple, but on entering we found the staff friendly and helpful, the room was basic but clean, the TV was set on the dressing table blocking the mirror. Breakfast in the morning was really good, with a great choice and tasty well cooked hot food and good speedy service, so good value overall."

"I have stayed at this hotel many times before and never once been made to pay for parking. The swimming pool is closed even though photos are displayed on the web site. The hotel is very expensive compared to when Marriot operated it."

"We got an attic room which was really hot. Bed was comfortable however the bathroom was small and the door was awkward to open and access the bathroom. Shower was average. Lighting was poor. Lead on hair dryer was not long enough to see a mirror. On the positive side parking was good. Dinner and breakfast excellent. Staff attentive and friendly. It was particularly unusual to watch the live feed from an osprey nest. "

"Very quaint hotel. The staff were amazing. Loved the wee pub, choices of scotch whiskey, and the food. The village of Rothes made for easy access to distilleries and enjoying the area. I would stay again."
