"2 min walk across streert from train station. F riendly check-in and held our luggage so we could walk around. Gave us a map, directions, and food recommendations--hotel set in middle of lower walking area do perfect. Nice small terrace for evenings. Good varieties for breakfast including coffee machine that made multiple types of drinks. Our bathroom has step up into it so could be hazardous in the middle of the night."

"It was fine, nothing special or terrible. We never received the check-in email, but luckily someone was onsite to let us in. That was literally our only interaction with staff. Walk across the bridge to get into town, and if traveling with kids, there is a cute little park with exact (but scaled for kids) replicas of many of Portugal's (and it's current and former colonies) most famous sites, almost across the street. "It was really cute and a lot of space for the cost. Beds were comfy, free espresso, beer, and tea in the room. It’s within walking distance of the funicular, so even though this hotel is near the top of the hill by the university, you can get up from the Main Street pretty easily and cheaply. The spiral stairs are a bit nervous to navigate. The Wi-Fi unfortunately only worked on the ground floor."

"Our brief stay at Hotel Oslo was part of a wonderful trip to Portugal last year. The hotel was well kept and has a modern but local feel. Staff members were pleasant and helpful. We stayed in late-July 2023, and the hotel was quiet and in a convenient location. The rooftop lounge was a beautiful place to kick our feet up after walking through the old town center - of which the hotel is essentially on the edge. Breakfast was nice, and also was served in a pleasant room with views of the old city. I would stay here again without hesitation."
