Doubtless Bay 3 Stars Hotels

"We only stayed one night but we really enjoyed our it. The room was very comfortable and it was very convenient with the main bedroom and the lounge also having a bed. The kitchen and bathroom were also of a good standard. Although the motel was close to the main road little noise could be heard. There was a pool which we didn’t have time to use but we did use the children’s swings and the large garden. The motel is also very close to a supermarket. "Lovely spot, beautiful views and easy beach access. Very quiet. Very roomy. Plenty of parking. Lacked kitchen utensils and there were no lids for pots. Knowing in advance that there were no grocery shops or dining options would have been nice (I didn't see this at time of booking, but we were told when arriving). Owners were lovely and communitive. "My wife and I decided to stay at the Coastal Chalets because of its remoteness and proximity to the far north. We found the place beautifully maintained, with a lot of privacy, quiet and beautiful scenery. We were in Suite C. It was spacious with a luxurious shower, full kitchen, bbq, spa pool and other amenities. We found it was a perfect spot for a romantic get-away. They're also a stone's throw to some truly excellent Indian food ("Spice Grill" in nearby Kaeo). Great place for dinner if you...

"The location is amazing with fantastic views. The one bedroom is small but we made it work. The staff are friendly and helpful. Easy access to lot's of things in the Northland. "

"We needed a local room while building work was going at our place. This was local. Check in was friendly and we were offered a selection of rooms, which was nice. We needed somewhere quiet. Unfortunately someone later took the room next door and played music all night til 3am and the walls are pretty thin. The shower was good, decent kitchen, tidy overall. Bed was pretty tragic, so a rough nights sleep but not all the Lodge's fault. I would probably give them another try if I had to."

"First impressions last! We were greeted warmly and allowed to check-in early which was lovely. Always nice to unpack a little and head off for the day. Awesome spot with amazing views and a few resident Kereru to enhance the views. Would highly recommend!"

"Despite problems with the electricity, we really enjoyed having to be resourceful about water use, building fires to stay warm, getting used to a firm mattress, and generally roughing it. The location down a long driveway gives absolute privacy, and the sea view is serene. A thoroughly unique experience."
