"The hotel is In an ideal location and the staff were most welcoming. We chose to dine in as the meals were excellent and reasonably priced and the service good. Our room was good and the rate fair. It could however benefited from a small kettle to make a hot drink."

"The site was a little hard to find after a long day's drive to get there but well situated for food and wine, range of restaurants, shops, etc nearby. Helpful staff who spoke enough English that my rusty French wasn't necessary most of the time. Would definitely stay again. "

"The desk staff at this hotel was incredibly unfriendly. We booked two nights total, coming and going. On the second arrival the desk clerk was rude, confrontational and we learned later a liar. The location on the river isn’t worth the toxic environment created by the desk staff. There are better friendly alternatives."

"Lovely places on the countryside,, surrounded by sunflower fields and. 9 hole golf course. A nice pool area to sunbathe and cool off. "

"Compact and well appointed , we liked the sliding shutters that kept out the sun, and tge masses of storage. It would be a great place to spend several days exploring the area. Julien and Angelique are good hosts who made us feel very welcome, and it was lovely to be able to have an excellent dinner there too after a long drive. We felt the only thing that let it down was the minimalist breakfast- not very good value. We would certainly return, but maybe not for breakfast."

"Logement très vétuste et mal pensé, pas de banquette. Terrasse sale accessible seulement par la chambre : inexploitable. Personnel à l'accueil peu aimable. Demande d'un emplacement sécurisant car enfants en bas âges ignorée > on se retrouve près du parking et d'une route où les voitures roulent vite, pas de clôture ni portail. Piscine municipale agréable, région avec beaucoup d'activités "

"We used Le Mas des Boires as a home base for a family wedding (service in Saint-Jean-de-Côle, reception at Chateau des Boires). The property was beautiful with a wonderful outdoor garden, refreshing pool (although smaller than the picture), and well-appointed stately rooms with private bathrooms (we had two large side-by-side rooms with balconies that overlooked the property. We loved the historic charm of the building - huge manger in the dining room; stone walls, exposed wood beams, etc....

"‘Fiasco Towers’. We were really disappointed that this ‘grand old lady’ of a building in a beautiful river-front location 850m up a drive from the road should have been so neglected and let down by abysmal lack of service. We normally enjoy the individual charm and character of non-chain hotels but, alas, it was not to be. We stayed 2 nights as pre-booked in a premium room. We were checked-in in a friendly manner but found the room - extremely dated in all respects - had not been properly...

"We loved this hotel. Amazing setting on the river with picturesque views in two directions from our corner room. Utterly charming in every way. The self serve Italian coffee machine in the salon is fantastic. Walk to everything in the delightful village with many riverside park areas. We took short drive to Brantome for an excellent dinner. Can’t edit to go back!"
