"I booked into the Presidential suite for 3 nights but stayed for 1 (23 June). Not even close to 5 star. The room door did not lock from the outside, the bathroom tap had a leak and when I tried to close the bathroom door it did not close fully, the TV remote from the room next door was controlling my TV so I could not relax and watch TV, the bed was very noisy and you could also clearly hear the conversations and TV from the room next door. "The location of the hotel is good. The stairs down the the rooms is built for somebody with long legs and the ramp - not sure if that is for a wheel chair which I will never use. The restaurant is very over priced and its really not great food. The food at Mrs Simpson is WAY better. The fire place, having a vent right on top, the room was always smelling of smoke. Rooms do all need a little TLC. Staff is very friendly and helpful."

"IF you want to see animals this is your place. The ride from the Safari Lodge along the Sabi river takes about an hour in each direction and you'll see more animals then you've ever seen in your life! Truly. Majestic. Awesome trip. You don't need more than a couple or few days unless you want a safari experience and stay in expensive tents etc. This place is perfect for the casual traveler who wants to see animals animals and more animals. Heavenly! And the lodge is perfect like a vacation place not a safari place. "
