“What a lovely stay! Beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and a super comfortable bed! The staff were all so friendly, happy and helpful, making us feel really welcome. The cosy, atmospheric bar and dining area was a lovely place to spend the evening, with fantastic food and a beautiful selection of wines and whiskies. “This hotel more than exceeded our expectations. In fact we were blown away by everything. Friendly staff on reception, lovely decor, our room on the first floor was nicely decorated, and the breakfast was delicious. There is loads of parking. We'd definitely stay here again. Wish more hotels were like this one!!!”

“Overall it was fine but I very expensive for what we actually got. The room was fine but small and the bed was not the best apart from that it was fine. I paid £140 for the night and breakfast which was continental was another £25 for the two of us. Very expensive for a room above a pub.”

The only thing was having to walk from their car park to the hotel which wasn’t very well signed but in all fairness was I could have read about this before checking in. Staff were amazing and so very friendly. They were happy to help and offer advice throughout the stay. Dinner and breakfast was lovely. “The room [room 10, double en suite] was nothing like the pictures. First you had to lean on the door to get in cos it's too big for the frame. Then once you are in it smelled like a teenage boys room, sweat and lynx. The carpet was badly worn and peeling off the floor, the cheap divan base was broken so the mattress was either springy or wavy, didn't dare actually look at the mattress... Cobwebs around the window show how long since that was cleaned and general bits of wallpaper coming off the...

“Queen room, comfortable bed with views at the back of the property, no ventilation due no opening windows, dusty fun, no space to put luggages or hooks to hang clothes at the back of the main door. Small wardrobe with 5 hungers. Spacious bathroom but run down, update needed. Staff didn’t mention where to go to visit or menu/price breakfast.”
