"We stayed here 10 years ago and wanted to return to visit nearby sights. Its fine as accomodation goes but the staff were a little distant... We now know the hotel is closing for refurb in June and new ownership once that is complete, so next year we assume. I think it maybe doesn't fit with the Anantara brand any longer ! The Y bar restaurant on the ground floor service was very good, and there is an amazing brisket slider combo that was out of this world! the room is generally nice, but not too cozy. the bathrooms could do with some upgrade or focused maintenance.. but all in all i would recomment this hotel. good value. "Staff was very friendly. Hotel seems a bit dated. Beach swimming was closed due to recent flooding, but the beach seating was open and lovely. Location is good. Valet parking made things easy. "
