โThis was our first time staying at La Quinta and we had a wonderful time. It's close to the town of Lake George, about a 7 minute drive but it's also close to many restaurants, shopping and entertainment outside of the town.
It was very easy to check-in to our room, less than 2-3 minutes and we were very pleased with the cleanliness of the room. There were some areas near the baseboards that could have used extra dusting but we were honestly impressed with how nice it was overall.

โFor the most part, very neat and clean all around. Convenient to most things in Lake George village, good walk to nearly everything. A nice room, comfortable beds. Is across the street from the lake so no Lake access. Also no breakfast, restaurant, fitness center, or any of those kind of things on site.โ
โWe stayed there primarily for the Polynesian Show, but we were pleasantly surprised at the size of the resort. The show was good and they have beautiful inside and outside pools. What we especially liked was the EV Charge Stations right on sight. Only negative we saw was a couple of good size holes going to the back parking lot.โ
โI have stayed in many hotels, some very high-end, and Capt. Thompson's Resort is my favorite, by far. My room was directly on the water, facing Boldt Castle. The view is amazing, and the room and the linens (even the blankets, which hotels typically do not wash every time) smelled amazing. The location right in town is great too, you can walk to shops, restaurants and Uncle Sam's Boat Tours. I've stayed there probably 10 times, and I plan to go back year after year. Well worth the price!โ
โThere is so much to enjoy at this family-friendly resort. The staff are hard-working people who are available to help while keeping everything clean and organized.

โPlace was so convenient. The manager stopped by our room with 3 cold waters shortly after arrival which was really appreciated. We used both the indoor and outdoor pools and while we stayed in a pet friendly 2 queen room, there was no evidence of odor of other dogs. Room was a nice size. Overall I think great value. โ
